A beautiful effort from our friends at Cazcanes that really ups the game for the super premium tequila space and breaks the cycle of more of the same. The major factors that set this expression apart in both quality and flavor are the labor intense and unique use of ripe hand harvested agaves that are cooked in a wood fired autoclave giving the spirit a subtle smokiness and more full bodied profile. The natural ambient fermentation and still strength unfiltered bottling gives the final tequila a uber luxurious texture without taking away an ounce of flavor. Superb.
